What is Enterprise Password Management?
Enterprise password management gives every employee an encrypted vault for business passwords, and gives IT central control over how those credentials are created, shared and removed. Policies enforce strong passwords, shared logins are handled securely inside the platform and access is revoked in one place when someone leaves.
Opus deploys, configures and supports Keeper Enterprise Plus for your business, including rollout, onboarding and user training. The service combines Keeper’s enterprise password management platform with BreachWatch monitoring and advanced reporting capabilities.
Why are weak and shared passwords a business risk?
Stolen and reused credentials remain a common route into organisations. Verizon’s 2025 Data Breach Investigations Report found that credential abuse was the leading initial access vector, involved in 22% of the breaches analysed.
Passwords shared over email or chat, kept in spreadsheets, or left active after someone leaves all widen that exposure. Most of these habits exist because staff have no easy, secure alternative.
Tell us how passwords are managed today. We will show you where the risk sits and what a managed rollout would look like for your business.
What features does an enterprise password manager include?
| Feature | What it does for your business |
|---|---|
| Encrypted vault for every user | Each employee stores business credentials securely, accessible only to them |
| Enforced password strength and policies | Policies set by IT make weak or reused passwords much harder to create |
| Secure sharing without sending passwords | Teams share access through the platform, without passwords travelling over email or chat |
| Multi-factor authentication support | Securely store MFA codes with passwords, reducing reliance on multiple devices. |
| Browser, desktop and mobile access | Staff use the same vault wherever they work |
| Admin console with role-based control | IT manages users, teams, shared folders and policies centrally |
| Breached credential monitoring | Keeper BreachWatch continuously checks passwords stored in employee vaults against known breach data while preserving Keeper’s zero-knowledge architecture. Users are prompted to update exposed credentials, and administrators can view organisational risk and remediation status in the Admin Console. |
| Reporting on password hygiene and risk | Visibility of weak, reused and exposed passwords across the business |
| Integration with Microsoft 365 identity | Can integrate with Microsoft Entra ID so users can authenticate using their existing Microsoft identity |
What does Opus provide alongside the password management platform?
Rollout and onboarding
We deploy the platform, set up your Keeper environment, shared folders and team access and bring users on board.
Policy and admin configuration
Password policies and role-based controls are set to match how your business works.
User training
Staff learn how to save, share and use passwords securely, helping drive secure, consistent adoption across the business.
Secure offboarding
A clear process to remove access when people leave, while shared business credentials stay with the business.
How does password management help with Cyber Essentials?
Cyber Essentials includes requirements for account security under its user access control requirements, including secure authentication, appropriate account access and multi-factor authentication in specified circumstances.
Keeper Enterprise Plus can support these controls by helping users create and store unique passwords, protecting shared credentials and giving administrators central visibility and control. It supports readiness for certification, but it does not by itself demonstrate compliance with every Cyber Essentials requirement.
Why choose Opus for enterprise password management?
Opus partners with Keeper to provide Keeper Enterprise Plus, combining Keeper’s zero-knowledge enterprise password management platform with implementation, configuration, onboarding, training and ongoing support from Opus.
- A rollout people actually adopt. Onboarding and enablement are built into the service.
- Connected to Microsoft Entra ID. Where configured, Keeper SSO Connect and automated provisioning allow users to authenticate using their existing Microsoft identity while simplifying onboarding and offboarding.
- Part of a wider security approach. Password management links to Cyber Essentials, vulnerability management and dark web monitoring.

Frequently asked questions about enterprise password management
Use an enterprise password manager. It gives every employee an encrypted vault, lets IT enforce strong password policies and removes access centrally when someone leaves.
A browser saves passwords for one person, with no central control. A business password manager lets IT enforce policies, share credentials securely and remove access when someone leaves.
Use shared folders and records inside Keeper Enterprise Plus. Access is granted only to authorised users or teams, permissions can be updated centrally, and credentials do not need to be sent through email or chat.
Enforce password policies centrally and report on weak and reused passwords across the business. An enterprise password manager does both, and makes a strong, unique password the easiest option for staff.
IT removes the user’s access centrally. Shared business credentials stay in the business vault, so shared credentials remain available to authorised users.
Keeper’s zero-knowledge, end-to-end encryption architecture is designed so that Keeper does not hold the keys needed to decrypt users’ vault contents. Multi-factor authentication, strong device security and correctly configured access policies provide additional protection, but organisations should still follow good security practices and respond promptly to any security advisory.
Keeper uses a zero-knowledge security architecture, which means Keeper cannot decrypt or read the contents of users’ vaults. Access within your organisation is governed by the roles, sharing permissions and administrative policies configured for your Keeper deployment.
Yes. Keeper can integrate with Microsoft Entra ID using SSO and automated provisioning. Where this integration is configured, users can authenticate to their Keeper Vault using their existing Microsoft identity, while administrators can streamline user and team provisioning.
It can help. Cyber Essentials includes account security and authentication requirements under user access control. Keeper Enterprise Plus supports these requirements by helping users create and store unique passwords, securing shared credentials and giving administrators central control, but using a password manager does not by itself guarantee certification.
Rollout time depends on the number of users, the structure of teams and shared folders, identity integration requirements, existing password data and the training approach. Opus will agree a rollout plan and timetable after reviewing your environment and requirements.
