Opus Sales, Marketing, Operations and Solution Design at Mitel Next Event

Opus representatives from Sales, Marketing, Operations and Solution Design enjoyed a packed two days at the latest Mitel Next channel conference in London this week.

Keynote speakers from Mitel reviewed 2018 and outlined their plans and goals for 2019, including Mitel’s organisational structure changes, product roadmap and go to market strategies.

Key market drivers being discussed included the increasing migration to cloud communications for many organisations, in the various forms of public, private and hybrid clouds, this in turn driven by the growing need for digital transformation to increase productivity – achieve more with the same or less.

Building blocks for the consolidated Mitel product line up were; Call Control, Collaboration, Contact Centre, Analytics and Mobility, reflecting our own experience of what our customers are looking for in the mid-enterprise sector.

Enhancements to the Mitel Collaboration suite, together with the planned Google integrated AI (artificial intelligence) and the already available chat bots, agent assist and API powered applications which add to the CX (customer experience) line up, really do make the Mitel platform ideal for any developing organisation. As a Mitel Platinum Partner it was great to hear that whether on-premises, in the cloud or in hybrid form, deploying a Mitel infrastructure means that we can deliver the future applications and enhancements needed, when a customer discovers they need them – truly future proofing customer’s investments.

In addition to the keynotes we were updated on Diversity and Inclusion, wider market trends from IDC, transforming your organisation for the Digital Age and reinventing your business for the ‘as a Service’ marketplace by ChannelCorp. This was followed by an entertaining evening of food, drinks and dancing (and quite a bit of singing) at the Tobacco Dock, topped only by a chance and enjoyable encounter with Mitel founder and legend, Sir Terrance Mathews.

All in all, an informative, inspiring and motivating event setting up the channel for 2019.

Thanks to everybody involved at Mitel!
