Opus Education donates to Children’s Foundation
Opus has presented a cheque for £750 to the Royal National Children’s Foundation (RNCF) – the total amount raised by the Opus Education team following our initiative to raise funds for RNCF at the ISBA Annual Conference.
At Opus we realise the importance of giving back. That is why at the recent ISBA conference we decided to take a different direction on the standard exhibition competition by raising funds for the charity. To show our support, for every free telecoms audit booked at the ISBA conference we donated a sum of money to the RNCF.
The Royal National Children’s Foundation provides help to the vulnerable young people aged 7 -18 in Britain whose circumstances are seriously prejudicial to their normal development and where no other care is available.
Typically, these young people have one or no active parent, have suffered from trauma and neglect as a results of serious mental or physical parental illness, family bereavement or parental alcohol/drug abuse.
RNCF offers a proven alternative to foster and Local Authority care, by funding their boarding school education. The charity provides each child with a high level of stability and care available at both boarding and independent day school places.
During the past 40 years, RNCF has helped transform the lives of more than 3,000 vulnerable children. Currently, the charity supports more than 373 children and young people at some 100 boarding schools and prep day schools throughout the UK.
Opus Education is proud to announce that we had a great response and donated £750 to the charity. The funds that we have raised will directly assist one of the children that fits RNCF’s criteria of vulnerability. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible.
