Mitel Product Showcase Event Draws a Crowd
December started with a busy day for the Opus team in the Mitel City Office hosting a very popular Mitel Product Showcase.
Based on feedback from our last seminar in the summer, business and IT Managers turned out in good numbers to learn about the latest across the board product offerings from Mitel and in particular the new range of mobile-first IP Phones.
Supported by a team of product and pre-sales specialists from Mitel, attendees where introduced to the new features and functionality of Release 8 of Mitel’s MiVoice Business range, the most significant being the compatibility with the new MiVoice 6900 Series IP Phones.
Designed around the mobile phone user, the MiVoice 6920, 6930 and 6940 all connect via Bluetooth to a paired mobile phone to allow synchronisation of contacts and handover of calls mid conversation, from desk phone to mobile or vice versa. They even have a USB port for changing of increasingly power hungry mobile devices.
Release 8 offers a host of new features including increased flexible day/night service, music on hold, preview on group pick up and enhanced call screening and call handling to name but a few.
Release 8 updates were followed by an update on the Mitel MiCollab and Mitel MiTeam collaboration and project stream management applications, demonstrating how teams could improve productivity, remote team working and customer service, not to mention reducing volumes of email in your inbox.After a short coffee break attendees were given an update on the various Mitel Cloud solutions, together with a brief look at just how cloud services had burst onto the scene since 2010 to reach the point where Mitel powers more than 2 Million cloud or hosted seats worldwide.
This was followed up by insight into the ever changing customer service engagement model, how customers expect a single touch real-time contact for customer support and how the various Mitel MiContact solutions can enable businesses to meet these new demands.
Presentations and videos were followed by live product demonstrations in the Mitel demonstration suite.
Feedback on the event has been extremely positive with 100% of the attendees who completed feedback forms expressing they were satisfied or very satisfied with the content and that it met their needs and expectations.
