Now is a great time to join our expanding Tech business as Trainee Project Engineer in our high performing engineering team.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about all things tech and has a willingness to learn and work towards becoming a Junior Project Engineer.

As a Trainee Project Engineer you will work closely with our engineering and project management teams, shadowing them and learning on the job.  As a trainee you will be exposed to and gain experience in the following areas:

  • Installation and programming of both cloud based and physical (where necessary) PABX systems and application software, at both the customer premises and remotely
  • Effective liaison with customers, Networks, and 3rd parties involved
  • Maintenance diagnosis/replacements for hardware and/or software
  • Remote technical support to customers for system & software related queries
  • Remote programming for additional works and system related changes
  • End User training for hardware and software products installed
  • Internal/External cabling installation, terminations & testing
  • Supporting Project Management Team technically on Projects
  • Supporting other Project Engineers on Projects as a seconded resource

Although no formal industry experience is required, it is essential that you have a keen appetite for learning in a tech/engineering environment and you must want to roll your sleeves up from the very start and get stuck in.  You will be PC literate using Microsoft Office and must hold a full UK driving license as there will be travel to off-site locations.  It is essential that you have strong communication skills both written and verbal and are a self-starter who can work both in a team and autonomously.

We are looking for an organised and efficient person to join our team as Order Fulfilment Coordinator.  The successful candidate will need to be a good communicator both internally and with our customers to ensure all orders are processed in accordance with our Service Level Agreements whilst making sure that all work queues are managed according to our defined internal processes.

The main accountabilities within this role are (full job description available upon request):

  • Ensure all orders are processed in accordance with SLA’s
  • Ensure all work queues are managed according to internal processes
  • Work with the team to process any stock returns as well as any logistics requests
  • Ensure AMC transfers are processed and communicated to customers
  • Provide an overflow cover for our Service Desk during busy periods

The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a ‘can-do’ attitude.  You will also possess a minimum of 1 year’s telecoms /customer services experience and will be IT Microsoft Office proficient, ideally also having had some exposure to databases.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Manager to manage our SME/Mid Market and early Enterprise projects for telephony solutions.  As a driven and experienced PM, you will be used to working at a fast pace and be highly effective at working within cross-functional teams to deliver end to end projects within specified time-frames and budgets.

The ideal candidate will be degree educated and have 5 or more years experience within a telecoms service environment.  You will be a Prince2 practitioner who  can effectively apply this methodology to the projects you work on.

Key Accountabilities
  • Own the project delivery for all projects within the SME/MidMarket and early Enterprise sectors ensuring end to end deliverables happen on time and within budget
  • Identify any errors and potential pitfalls in the day to day operations, recommending possible solutions and/or escalating within management teams in a timely fashion
  • Ensure all projects and updates are regularly communicated to relevant teams to ensure everyone is aware of how projects are progessing
  • Develop forms and records to effectively document project activities and help to improve company processes
  • Effectively liaise with customers, networks and 3rd parties through to completion of projects
  • Be responsible for all project programme management including governance, tracking, feedback on performance and improvments, financials and project optimisation
Essential Skills & Attributes
  • Degree/Diploma or equivalent industry relevant qualification
  • Experienced in using Prince2
  • 5 years plus experience working in telecoms service and/or as a project manager
  • Proven project management track record of delivering large and small projects to time and within budget
  • PBX and IP Networking knowledge
  • Proficient in all Microsoft 365 applications
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and see through from start to completion
  • Focussed on delivering excellent customer service
  • Strong communication skills with a flexible, positive can-do attitude
  • Ability to work in teams and independently

Candidates should understand LAN/ WAN/SIP Fundamentals, preferably at CCNA or CTP level and possess an excellent thorough fault process mentality to correctly evaluate calls, together with self-reliance on their own technical abilities and knowledge.

Candidates must have experience of managing escalations, working closely with the manufacturers to achieve a successful resolution. They should be able to demonstrate focused customer care skills, both on site and remotely, clear direction setting and a methodical work ethic.

Candidates must have strong communication skills, be well presented with a flexible positive attitude and good proactive problem solving skills. They require a good telephone manner, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a professional way and possess the ability to understand the point of view of other departments and put own point of view clearly. They should also be good at keeping other departments in the picture and flagging up potential problems.

  • The ability to work well in teams, be a pleasant/helpful/optimistic self-starter, requiring minimal supervision.
  • Well-organised and strong on follow up.
  • Punctual with a good attendance record.
  • Strong on conflict resolution and problem solving ability.
