At Opus, social responsibility isn’t a project or a policy it’s part of our identity
We believe businesses have a duty to create a positive impact for their people, customers, communities, and the planet. That belief drives how we operate, the partners we choose, and the standards we hold ourselves to.
Social reasonability spans several streams at Opus, from giving back our time to the community, to fully funding schemes and initiatives for a wide range of organisations who can benefit from our help.
We aim to enrich our society and contribute to our environment through meaningful action. As part of this commitment, we dedicate one day each year to giving back to a local charity that we support as a business, strengthening our connection with the communities around us and the causes that matter most.
“It’s very important to me that Opus gives back, it’s part of our DNA. It’s a joint responsibility to support a mixture of local, national and global charities and organisations in need, giving back our time, our expertise, investment and anything else that is required to help these organisations thrive. We all must work together to win together”

Who do we support?
The organisations we support vary from global charities where we fund fellowships, to local not for profit organisations, that we support on a monthly basis or as and when our help is required. All of which, are important to us.
Our employees are encouraged to give back one day a year to either one of our chosen charities or a charity that means something to them personally. Some volunteer at their children’s schools or at evening events that help support their wider families.
Here's more about how we support our chosen charities and their purpose
Renewed Hope
Renewed Hope is a local charity dedicated to supporting individuals and families facing homelessness or hardship. Through food provision, shelter, and compassionate care, the charity helps restore dignity and create opportunities for independence.
Opus Technology has partnered with Renewed Hope for the past three years. We support this organisation through community volunteering, donating food and supplies for the foodbank, and providing them with technology support that enhances their day-to-day operations. We also pay their admin assistant’s salary, a key role in their charity. By contributing both time and technical expertise, we help strengthen communication systems and expand the charity’s ability to reach more people in need.
Lucy Rayner Foundation
We also support the Lucy Rayner Foundation, this was a local charity chosen by our employees. The Lucy Rayner Foundation is committed to raising awareness of mental health challenges among young people and providing crucial support to families affected by mental illness and suicide. Opus have provided Lucy Rayner with blocks of fully funded check-in counselling sessions in selected schools in Surrey. Its mission is to reduce stigma and ensure access to mental health resources and counselling across the UK.
“The Lucy Rayner Foundations check in service funded by Opus has had a significant and measurable impact at our school with 48 students supported across 7 weekly sessions. The interventions have helped us identity students in need who have not previously engaged in pastoral support which helps to fill a crucial gap in the existing provisions. School staff noted that the value of informal drop in style support particularly for students in ks4 and 5 where academic pressures and personal challenges often peak. It was a huge impact and we hope to be able to deliver this as an ongoing service with continued sponsorship”.
Polar Bear International
The Polar Bear Institution (PBI) is dedicated to wildlife conservation and climate change awareness, with a focus on protecting polar bears and safeguarding their Arctic environment. Through research, education, and sustainable initiatives, PBI works to secure a future where this remarkable species can continue to thrive.
Opus Technology is proud to support PBI’s mission and fully fund Dr Louise Archer as part of the Opus fellowship for a three-year project supporting PBI with the valuable research they need to help learn more about polar bear conservation. Our fellowship allows Louise to stay within the PBI family, something that, due to her incredibly valuable work, PBI members were very keen to achieve.
Stripey Stork
Stripey Stork, are a baby bank in Surrey who collects and redistributes baby and children’s items to families in Surrey and Croydon who are experiencing hardship, ensuring they have the essentials they need. We continue to support this charity by helping them sort out their stock, delivering bundles to families in need and anything else they require help with.
